F-150 Performance

With so many options, you might be left wishing you could have multiple engines in the F-150. There are six engines to choose from, the base engine being a 3.3-liter V6. This standard engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, providing 290-horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. You'll receive an EPA-estimated 19 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway.

The available Power Stroke V6 diesel engine is rated to provide up to 11,400 lbs. maximum towing, 250-horsepower, and 440 lb-ft of torque. There's a 40-horsepower 3.4-liter EcoBoost® engine in the F-150 Raptor. Auto start-stop technology is featured on all engines, which can save on fuel when stopped at a light or when the truck is otherwise idling.

Towing Capability of the F-150

When equipped with the available 3.5-liter EcoBoost® twin-turbo V6 engine, the 2018 Ford F-150 can tow up to 13,200 pounds, with class-competitive hauling abilities, thanks to a max payload of almost 3,300 pounds. Weight has been cut from the F-150 with high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy-more strength and less weight mean better payload ratings than previous versions of this truck.

When backing up a trailer, you're dealing with the F-150 moving one way and the trailer going in the opposite direction. The available backup assist technology comes in handy. Simply turn the knob to the left or right in the direction you want the trailer to move. Trailer sway control comes standard, and there's also the available blind spot technology with trailer coverage, letting you know when another car might be alongside the trailer or in your blind spot.

Ford F-150 Tech Features

There's an available 8-inch LCD productivity screen which tracks important information, from fuel economy to towing data, and provides it in the instrument cluster. Create a customized home screen with the data you want. The available SYNC® 3 system, which comes with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ compatibility, allows drivers to link a smartphone to the touchscreen for easy interaction with apps and music.

SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link®, which comes complimentary for five years, provides real-time traffic, weather updates, and the closest gas station locations. There's also an available Wi-Fi Hotspot that allows you to connect up to 10 devices.
